　　Chevron opens USD1 billion ENGINE innovation hub in India

　　U.S.-based global energy major Chevron Corp. has announced the opening of its new USD1 billion Engineering and Innovation Excellence Centre (ENGINE) in Bengaluru, India, marking a significant expansion of the company’s global operations. Led by Akshay Sahni, Chevron’s incoming country head for India, the centre will focus on advancing technology solutions for Chevron’s global operations while also pioneering innovations in lower carbon energy.

　　Located near Bellandur, the ENGINE centre will serve as a hub for Chevron’s engineering and digital services, providing meaningful opportunities for top-tier talent in India.

　　Sahni, a seasoned leader with a Ph.D. in energy science and engineering from Stanford University, is passionate about bringing Chevron’s global expertise to India. He believes that Bengaluru’s scientific talent will play a pivotal role in addressing today’s energy challenges and developing tomorrow’s sustainable solutions.

　　Sahni’s journey with Chevron has taken him around the globe, from leading engineering teams in Venezuela, China and Kazakhstan, to managing assets in Thailand and California. He has also developed assets in Bangladesh, delivered key technology in the U.S. state of Louisiana and most recently led Chevron’s global technology strategy out of Houston, Texas.?
